KUNSTEVENT: En flygtningebåd kommer til Århus

Som led i en landsdækkende kampagne for FNs 2015-mål ankommer en båd til Århus Havn den 1. september til middag – fyldt til bristepunktet med flygtninge fra alverdens lande.
Flygtningebådens passagerer er heldigvis ikke levende mennesker, men livagtige bronzeskulpturer fremstillet af billedhuggeren Jens Galschiøt. Eventen, der løber fra den 1. til 5. september, udføres i samarbejde med Landsorganisationen Levende Hav og en række af Projektrådgivningens medlemsorganisationer, der byder velkommen i teltet på Århus Havn.
PROGRAM:
Onsdag den 1. september anløber Flygtningbåden Århus Havn på nordsiden af Pier 1. Kl. 11.30 byder Rådmand Dorthe Laustsen (SF) velkommen, og der er taler ved skipper Knud Andersen, Levende Hav, samt Vibeke Tuxen, formand for Projektrådgivningen. Fra kl. 11 er der musik på kajen samt kaffe og udstillinger om FNs 2015-mål. Du kan få en snak om udviklingsarbejde med Levende Hav, Seniorer Uden Grænser, Den Eritreanske Støtteforening, Somalisk Forening og Bedsteforældre for Asyl på havnen.

Torsdag den 2. september er kampagneteltet åbent kl. 10-19, hvor Ghana Venskabsgrupperne og Seniorer Uden Grænser fortæller om 2015-målene og deres egne udviklingsprojekter. Den Eritreanske Støtteforening fortæller om flygtningesituationen på Afrikas Horn. Oplev den tankevækkende Flygtningebåd, se udstillinger og få en kop kaffe i teltet.
Fredag den 3. september er teltet åbent kl. 10-19. Fra kl. 13 har Oplysningscenter for den 3. verden (O3V) inviteret Århus SFO’er på skattejagt, piñata-slagning og forskellige aktiviteter med skolegang og vand i udviklingslande. Der vil være levende musik og eventyrfortælling. Seniorer Uden Grænser fortæller om 2015-målene og deres egne udviklingsprojekter og Den Eritreanske Støtteforening fortæller om flygtningesituationen på Afrikas Horn. Oplev den tankevækkende Flygtningebåd, se udstillinger og få en kop kaffe i teltet.

Lørdag den 4. september er teltet åbent kl. 10-17. IBIS har opstillet en afrikansk mini-skole med quiz og konkurrencer for børn og voksne. Seniorer Uden Grænser fortæller om 2015-målene og deres egne udviklingsprojekter. Oplev den tankevækkende Flygtningebåd, se udstillinger og få en kop kaffe i teltet.
Søndag den 5. september er teltet åbent kl. 10-17. Oplysningscenter for Vedvarende Energi (OVE) arrangerer konkurrencer i ’lorte-kast’ med mudderposer, og du kan opleve befolkningstæthed i en kenyansk slumby på din egen krop. Seniorer Uden Grænser fortæller om 2015-målene og deres egne udviklingsprojekter. Oplev den tankevækkende Flygtningebåd, se udstillinger og få en kop kaffe i teltet.

Nogle af bronzeskulpturerne vil også være udstillet i andelskassen Merkur på Skt. Clemens Torv, samt ved Skibbrogade og parkeringspladsen ved Skolebakken.
